WCW Monday Nitro 10/30/95

Transient

In a most shocking turn of events last night at Halloween Havoc, Ric Flair turned on Sting and reformed the Four Horsemen.  In addition, Hulk Hogan was hugged to death by the Giant and the YETAY.  Lex Luger showed his true colors and attacked Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan.  Eric tells us we will be shown some footage and photos that will speak VOLUMES.

Sgt. Craig Pittman vs Eddie Guerrero

Eddie is replacing VK Wallstreet, whose absence wasn't very well explained at all.  At first it sounded like Pittman beat IRS to face Eddie, but then it sounded like Eddie was replacing IRS.  And then it went back to Pittman beating IRS.  So whatever.  They're having a match.  What happened to the Eddie/Dean rematch?  Did it happen on a weekend show?  Some scattered EDDIE EDDIE chants.  Eddie is baited into an amateur style, which does not play to his advantages.  Except when it does as he muscles Pittman over in a SHOOT take down.  Yo, the ceiling in this building looks like TRASH.  Like a shitty office where tiles are missing all over the place.  Eddie's speed gives him the advantage.  The super fan couple that comes to shows in hot pink/neon yellow wind breakers are in the crowd tonight.  RUMOR HAS IT that Bill and Hillary were watching Havoc.  Pittman is really bad.  How can a legit fighter have such terrible strikes and submissions?  The only thing he did that didn't look like shit were suplexes.  His strikes and submissions looked weaker than 1995 Giant Baba.  Eddie wins with a roll up OUTTA NOWHERE.

Scott Norton vs The Shark

We're shown footage of what lead to this match....from September 11th.  Why did it take over a month for a match to happen?  I expect a crazy show of strength from Norton in this.  Instead, Quake hits a belly to belly and dominates for the opening moments.  Body slam WIT DA GREATEST OF EASE.  Man, imagine of Norton powerbombs Earthquake.  Double clothesline.  We find that Bobby Heenan left not to because he had to shit, like Mongo repeatedly insisted, but to join Sonny Onoo at a catered table.  It heads to the floor and they be clubbering.  Double count out.  The fight up to the stage, ramming each other into part of the W.  We're shown Brain getting a pay off.

TO THE SCHIAVONE.  Holy shit, Tony!  He's making his Nitro debut.  How gross is that?  Show has been on for 2 months and this is the first time the lead announcer for the past 5 years made it to the program.  He shows us pictures of Flair/Sting vs Arn/Pillman.  He then brings out the Three Horsemen.  Maybe we'll get a 4th member tonight.  Fans were asking for 2 years for Arn to bring it back and now they're going to get what they asked for.  Pillman is being all weird and full of coke energy.  Next week, the Horsemen will be in town to work if Sting has a problem with any of this.

Transient

Saturday Night has Benoit vs Wright, Arn/Flair vs Renegade/Cobra, Harlem Heat vs Blue Bloods.  Harlem Heat has the titles again, so either the loss to the American Males was over turned or they won them back on a weekend show and it wasn't mentioned.

SABU VS DISCO INFERNO

Next week, Nitro will be interactive and fans will be able to chose the matches.  Fuck yo WWE App.  WCW was doing that shit in 1995 no doubt on a paid hotline.  Sabu decks Disco to end all that dancing.  "Double dropkick off the top rope."  A springboard dropkick.  Disco hit a good hair throw thing that looked painful.  I think there should be a backstage segment with Disco teaching Sabu how to dance.  Disco continues the neck work.  Bischoff has his second awkward Holyfield fight plug.  Sabu wins with an Arabian facebuster.  Minus the chair.  Sabu tried to put Disco through a table after the match.  Disco moved and the table didn't break.

Lex Luger/Meng vs American Males

Lex is now managed by Jimmy Hart, who apparently is officially part of the Dungeon of Doom now.  Meng and Riggs start.  Bischoff is AWFUL.  He has no idea how to spit stuff out.  He always sounds like he's trying to fit 30 seconds of talk into 5 seconds of breath.  The Males are in control of Lex after a break.  DoD get back into it with a Hart Attack variation.  You know what's not a good look for Meng?  Really bright golden tights.  Lumpy bag of shit.  I'm a little confused at the gear of the Males.  They look like dress pants with suspenders.  That doesn't seem like the best kind of thing to wrestle in.  And the suspenders are sewn into the pants.  Buff taps to the torture rack.

Mongo sprays Brain in the face with silly string.  That's rude as shit.  Mongo is a real asshole to Brain.  He says much worse shit much more frequently to Brain than Brain says to him.

TO HALLOWEEN HAVOC.  We're shown footage of Hulk/Giant that Bischoff has been talking about all night.  It "just arrived".  Why wouldn't WCW have footage of their own show from the night before?  We see Jimmy SWERVE Hogan, Lex SWERVE Macho, and THE YETAAAY.  One of the best calls in history.

TO THE SCHIAVONE.  Tony is in the ring with the Dungeon of Doom.  Giant still has Hulk's belt.  Jimmy explains that he'll tell the world why he turned on Hulk in his new book or next week.  Sullivan said there was evil in Hulk's house and that evil was Jimmy Hart ALL ALONG!  You see, Jimmy is the only manager Sullivan ever had and they are pals.  I don't think that is true at all.  Sullivan lies on the mat and convulses to make fun of Hogan.  Giant will defend the title next week against ANYBODY.  What about....THE YETAAAAY?  So...is Giant the champion or what?  I mean, if he's defending the title, that must mean he's the champion.  Jimmy Hart runs around in circles to end the show.

Transient

Not the strongest show.  It was pretty much entirely a recap of Halloween Havoc.  No Sting, Hogan, or Savage.  The top face on the show might have actually been Eddie.  I don't know why you wouldn't load a show up with Eddie/Dean/Benoit to tear the house down when none of your top faces are there.  No matches were given for next week as fans will chose.  However, Flair said the Horsemen will be in action and Giant said he'd defend the title.
